Heavy Metal News: According to WSBT Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante and his wife were arrested on Friday night for domestic battery in front of a child.
Arrest records indicate the pair were picked up at the Hilton Garden Inn in Elkhart, and both were released from jail on Saturday. A supposed arrest photo shows the drummer with a bandaged head, looking the worse for wear. Further details are unavailable at this time.
Benante is missing out the band’s current US tour due to a hand injury. The 49 year old drummer has been temporarily replaced by Shadows Fall sticksman Jason Bittner.
Anthrax have been together for around 30 years and make up one quarter of the ‘Big 4′ along with Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth.
